The WES Annual Conference is the flagship event in the Women’s Engineering Society calendar. A two-day celebration of innovation, inclusion, and engineering excellence. The conference returns on the 16th and 17th of April 2026 in Birmingham bringing together WES members, partners, and industry leaders to share knowledge and shape the future of our profession.

In an era defined by rapid technological shifts, this year’s theme “Engineering Intelligence” focuses on how human creativity and technological innovation combine to solve complex challenges and drive inclusive progress.
What to Expect
Last year the event sold out and this year we are expecting over 250 delegates from across the UK.
The program is designed to inspire and empower women engineers at every career stage and will include: Inspirational Keynotes, Interactive Workshops, Networking and learning opportunities, and Academic poster sessions

If you are traveling by train New Street Station is approximately a 15 minute walk and Moor Street Station is approximately 12 minutes away.
If you’re traveling by car, please keep in mind that there is no parking at the venue but there is a convenient multi-story car park here
