AMAZON and WES Apprentice Days
All Apprentice Members and Partners are invited to join us for a FREE face to face event. There are two events, one being held in Dunstable and one in Dunfermline. The day includes speakers including Jan Peters, the visionary CEO and founder of Katalytik and former president of the Women’s Engineering Society. Amazon engineers who will help you chart your own career path, a site tour of the facilities as well as plenty of networking opportunities.

12th February at Dunstable includes:
Site Tour LTN4 – Take a walk around our Amazon Robotics Fulfilment Centre (LTN4) with our professional tour guide. You’ll see the journey of a package as it makes its way through sortation, labelling and quality control, and meet our army of friendly robots using advanced technology to dispatch your items ready for delivery.
Site Tour LTN5 – A rare chance to visit our Make on Demand facility, one of only two in the UK. Our engineering team will show you how Amazon print our own books, T-shirts and other personalised merchandise. You’ll also get the chance to supervise printing of your own souvenir to take home!
5th March at Dunfermline includes:
Site Tour – Ever wondered what happens to your item if you send it back to Amazon? We’ll show you around our Fulfilment Centre where our teams process Customer Returns, and work with local communities to donate items to underprivileged families. You’ll also get to see our dispatch process and engineering journey as we sort items ready to be delivered across Scotland.

How can your organisation get involved?
Throughout National Apprenticeship Week the WES Apprentice Showcase is a great opportunity for you to reach the next generation of female engineers and to showcase your organisations commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Alongside 2 face to face events for apprentices (one held on the 12thFebruary and one on the 5thMarch to coincide with the Scottish Apprentice Week) we will be hosting a series of webinars as well as a virtual exhibition.
