Vanessa, a Chartered Engineer, led safety-focused transport design on Cambridge’s Newmarket Road, integrating women’s lived experiences into engineering and developing practical solutions for active and public transport. Her intersectional approach now informs 12+ schemes. She champions all-female design teams, mentors women in STEM, and advocates for inclusive, climate-resilient solutions driving progress in equitable, skills-focused engineering.
