This award recognises an outstanding woman who has registered as a Registered Engineering Technician (EngTech) or Information and Communications Technology Technician, and is nominated by their Professional Engineering Institution.

The winner will demonstrate professional excellence, contribution to their organisation and the wider engineering community, and the potential to be a future leader in engineering. The winning candidate is awarded a prize of £500.


Eligibility & Application Criteria

  • Each Institution may nominate one newly registered female Engineering Technician (EngTech) or Information and Communications Technology Technician (ICTTech).

  • The candidate must have achieved professional registration between 1 March 2025 and 29 February 2026 and can only be nominated once.

  • The candidate must be a UK resident. Candidates temporarily working outside of the UK will be deemed eligible only if their contract is under six months in duration, or if they are a serving member of the armed forces

  • Emily Cole

    Emily Cole is currently a Degree Apprentice Engineer working for Jackson Civil Engineering and studying at the University of Brighton.

  • Isobel Howe

    A 20-year-old Product System Design Engineer Degree Apprentice working in Power Generation. She has been in the field for nearly 2 years gaining technical experience and skills. Isobel is completing a L6 Manufacturing Degree and Apprenticeship Qualification.
