The WES Student Board brings together engineering students from our membership who want to play an active role in shaping the future of WES and improving the experiences of women in engineering education.
It offers a national platform for students to influence WES’s priorities, contribute to sector‑wide initiatives, and develop leadership skills early in their careers.

What we do
Members of the Student Board collaborate on projects and discussions that support women studying engineering across the UK. This includes:
Advising WES on issues affecting women in engineering within education

Developing ideas and resources that strengthen belonging for women in engineering students

Contributing to campaigns and events to shape content for engineering students

Providing insight into the student experience across UK universities to shape WES products and services, including informing the support needed from WES and university engineering societies

Who can join?
The Student Board is open to engineering students who are members of WES and who are Interested in leadership, advocacy or community building and keen to contribute ideas and shape WES’s work.
No prior committee experience is required — just enthusiasm and a commitment to positive change.
