ECB Updates

This year’s session brought together around 35 enthusiastic students exploring future pathways in engineering. I introduced them to the breadth of engineering careers, shared my own journey, and highlighted the invaluable role that organisations like WES play in supporting and empowering the next generation of engineers.

A key focus of the session was helping students understand the diversity of opportunities within engineering. Using a whole-systems perspective, I showed how engineering connects technology, people, policy, markets, and sustainability, offering a more modern and inclusive view of the sector.
