Kim is a Transport Systems Engineer at Energy Systems Catapult and a technical lead on the Innovating Transport and Energy Systems (ITES) project, where she supports the development of renewable and net zero energy systems. With a career focused on clean energy, she has contributed to advances in the hydrogen fuel cell sector, particularly in testing and validation for heavy duty applications.

Her work supports the delivery of practical, sustainable solutions across the energy industry. She is co chair of the WES Early Careers Board alongside Moryse, and a STEM Ambassador, promoting engineering through outreach and mentoring.

Moryse graduated with a BEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Hull and joined National Grid through its graduate scheme, where she worked across several workstreams including the development of a Net Zero Strategy for Gas Transmission. She is now an Operational Strategy Engineer, focusing on identifying risks within the National Transmission System and developing strategies to mitigate them.

She is committed to promoting engineering to younger audiences and supporting early career professionals, and mentors through Grid for Good, a programme that supports young people from socio economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Dr Inès Tunga is a Chartered Engineer and renewable energy leader whose career spans chemical, offshore and renewable energy, and is driven by a commitment to making engineering more accessible and inclusive. As Vice Chair of the WES Early Careers Board, she supports early career engineers through outreach, mentoring and engagement, encouraging confidence and a sense of belonging across the profession.

Alongside her technical work, she serves as a school governor, QE Prize Ambassador, Foothold Trustee, Big Bang Competition judge and contributor to The Woman Engineer podcast, helping to raise visibility and create opportunities for others. She is motivated by a desire to represent those who may not see themselves reflected in engineering and to support the next generation in building confident, impactful careers.

Isabella is a Systems Engineer at Boeing UK and graduated with a first class MEng in Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick in July 2020. During her studies, she was active in Warwick’s Engineering Society as Outreach Officer, organising events to promote engineering, including activities with Brownies such as building newspaper towers and aluminium foil circuits to power an LED.

She completed internships with High Speed 2 Ltd, Tesla in California and Hyundai in Germany, gaining experience across the sector and developing her skills. She is involved with the Early Careers Board, where she works to share her enthusiasm for engineering and support others entering the profession.

Kate is a Medical Design Engineer. She completed a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Medical Engineering at the University of Bristol and now works for Onkos Surgical, a medical device company designing orthopaedic implants. During her time at Univeristy she was a founding member of the Women in Engineering Society and joined the ECB in it’s first year in 2016. She loves to run STEM workshops for children and young people to help develop their understanding of what it means to be an engineer. She is the project lead for the WES Lottie Tour and enjoys seeing it go from strength to strength. 

Lauren is a Process Engineer at Mott MacDonald in their nuclear division. She graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2023 with an MEng degree in Chemical Engineering with an Industrial Year at Pfizer where she worked as a Chemical Engineer on a Pilot Plant. At Mott MacDonald, Lauren is the University Engagement Lead for the company’s Women in Nuclear Programme. Lauren joined the ECB in 2024. She loves being part of an incredible team of women and is excited to work with them to increase engagment and open dialogue to promote and support Women in Engineering.
