Sana Rehman has been appointed Chair of the WES Apprentice Board for 2025/2026. A Civil Engineering Degree Apprentice at AtkinsRéalis, she has just completed her third year at the University of Warwick. Passionate about making engineering an inclusive space where diverse voices are heard and valued, Sana has led early careers initiatives for over 3,500 people through the Strategic Design Partnership and organised national events to connect, support, and inspire apprentices across the UK. She enjoys using her leadership roles to make a meaningful impact in the industry and to champion the next generation of engineers. Outside of work, Sana loves travelling, exploring new food spots, and taking on creative projects.

Rhiannon is an Electrical Engineering Degree Apprentice at the UK Atomic Energy Authority, studying Electronic and Computer Engineering. She developed a strong interest in maths and physics at a young age, which became a clear focus on engineering during sixth form. Her role spans major fusion projects such as JET, with rotations across disciplines including LIBRTI and the European Spallation Source, building practical and technical experience. She particularly values the variety of the apprenticeship and enjoys outreach work, including speaking at the Big Bang Fair, alongside hobbies such as travel, gaming, volleyball and fitness.

Monika is an apprentice with Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, working as a Junior Additive Manufacturing Technician. She joined as a Model Maker Apprentice and has since gained experience across additive manufacturing, the model shop, model build and the wind tunnel. Her interest in engineering began with a curiosity about how cars work and continues in her own workshop, where she restores and builds cars and volunteers as a motorsport marshal. She also supports the Women’s Engineering Society, promoting diversity in STEM and encouraging more women into engineering and motorsport.

Maleeha is currently a RME Mechatronics Apprentice at Amazon where she has gained experience in Fluid power, Mechanical Assembly, CAD, Robotics, Electrical Assembly and much more. She’s passionate about proving people wrong and showing she can thrive in this role, as well as spreading awareness about the issues women face in STEM and how to overcome this. Outside of work, Maleeha enjoys teaching scouts, doing Martial Arts and volunteering at STEM events and helping school students discover a passion for engineering.

Grace began her career in Fine Art before moving into engineering, showing a clear ability to adapt and change direction. After completing a First-Class BA and MFA, she spent four years at Amazon building skills in operations and problem-solving, and is now an RME Mechatronics Apprentice maintaining robotics and automated systems. Her career change at 27, along with winning the Enginuity Trophy Design Competition, reflects her belief that creativity has a place in engineering. She is committed to encouraging more women into technical roles and, outside work, enjoys pole dancing, jewellery making and outdoor activities.

Denell is a first-year civil engineering apprentice at West Sussex County Council, working in the Road Safety team within Transport and Network Operations. She supports schemes to improve safety, sustainability and accessibility, including active travel routes and bus priority measures, through site surveys, CAD and GIS work, data analysis and stakeholder engagement. With a background in architecture, she focuses on practical solutions and aims to represent women from diverse backgrounds in engineering. Outside work, she enjoys swimming, running, sewing, learning languages and taking part in outreach.
