Leaving a legacy or donation makes a profound difference to the Women’s Engineering Society.
Our legacy
From the very beginning, WES was shaped by pioneers such as Caroline Haslett, Amy Johnson, and the other founder members who, in 1919, refused to accept that engineering was closed to women. Their courage and vision created a society that has championed inclusion for over a century. The legacy they began lives on in every award, mentoring scheme, and opportunity we provide today – proof that determined individuals can change the future for generations of women engineers.

Legacies and donations
Gifts in wills and donations (whether single or regular) make a profound difference to the Women’s Engineering Society. They ensure that we can continue to champion women in engineering, provide mentoring and sponsorship, celebrate excellence through free‑to‑enter awards, and absorb financial pressures so that opportunity is based on achievement, not means. Every contribution, large or small, helps us build on the legacy of our founders and sustain vital programmes for future generations. If you would like to make a gift or pledge your support, please complete the donation and legacy forms linked on this page.
