
Dr Caitlin McCall is a multi‑award‑winning, chartered mechanical engineer and is current a Technology Manager with more than a decade of leadership experience across advanced manufacturing, electronics, materials engineering and applied industrial research.
She has built a career delivering strategic, evidence‑based direction for high‑value engineering programmes and supporting organisations in the adoption of emerging technologies. At the Manufacturing Technology Centre, she provides technical and strategic oversight across research initiatives in cross‑sector mass manufacturing, bringing a clear, disciplined and outcomes‑focused approach to complex engineering environments. In this capacity, Caitlin plays a key role in supporting the manufacturing industry to adopt innovative technologies, helping organisations navigate technological change and accelerate their readiness for future production systems. Her leadership is strengthened by her CMI qualification in Leadership and Management earned through the Army Reserves.
Caitlin is a leading supporter of initiatives that promote careers in engineering and technology in her role as Trustee for the Women’s Engineering Society and as a UN Women UK voluntary delegate. In 2021, she was awarded the Top 50 Women in Engineering: Engineering Heroes for her contribution during the pandemic manufacturing face visors for key workers.
