It’s an exciting time to be at the Women’s Engineering Society. For 100 years we have been promoting the education and practice of women in engineering, and as our second century dawns, we partner with ever more businesses who want to support their female engineers. We’re celebrating our centenary year throughout 2019 by making an unprecedented investment in new roles. Our relationships with companies, universities and other organisations are key to delivering our goals and we are seeking a new Partnership Manager for our ever-growing portfolio of partners.

We are passionate about supporting women in engineering and work hard as a team to have a huge impact in the world. We reached 175 million people on International Women in Engineering Day in June 2019.

If you’re made of the same qualities as we are, you could soon be part of our next chapter. Together as one team, we are working to continue the WES legacy for the next 100 years.

Working in Partnerships is fast-paced and varied. You will support a number of initiatives generating sponsorship for our premier events such as INWED and the WES Student Conference. You will nurture our existing Company Partnerships, working with great engineering organisations such as BAE Systems, Toyota and National Grid. As our influence develops you will reach out to other companies to encourage them to partner with WES. You will also be an integral part of the development of our next three-year business strategy.

You will be expected to manage existing relationships, develop and shape commercial scope as well as business plans for new partnerships, and also integrate well with the broader WES team to bring your partnership portfolio to life. You will also be confident managing the needs of our event sponsors and ensure our work aligns with the overall WES marketing strategy, while upholding our Charitable aims and vision.

Our Partnership role comes with big potential to make your mark on WES. The engineering industry is changing, with more focus on problem-solving and enhancing the world around us. WES needs to be at the forefront of that change, finding new ways to support women in engineering and our partners. If you’re a brave and a bold thinker, willing to work hard and enjoy working in a hands-on team, you will be in your element with WES.

Your impact in WES will be rewarded with the following remuneration package as well as the opportunity to develop and progress your career in this evolving, challenging, growing charity.
