The Manufacturing Team

We have redefined the eBike kit product category with excellent design and innovative technology, with our Manufacturing Team being key to producing our kits and delivering products to our customers.

To achieve the best possible manufacturing process, we are assembling a world-class manufacturing team consisting of Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Operations experts.

The Role

This opportunity is for a Manufacturing Manager to build, guide and manage our Manufacturing & Production teams to ensure we are able to mass produce our Swytch products, ensuring we meet production deadlines to be able to deliver to our customers on time.


  • As necessary, lead the set up and operation of new manufacturing capabilities and sites worldwide - with a key focus in China.
  • Be the initial point-of-contact for all manufacturing activities.
  • Own 'Manufacturing' to ensure that capacity and attention is adhered to ensure delivery of products to the specification.
  • Engage with other teams to ensure logistics and supply chains deliver products as required.
  • Collaborate on ways to drive greater efficiency through the production processes in all dimensions e.g. time, materials, sustainability.
  • Check equipment maintenance schedules so that quality and safety requirements are met.
  • Work collaboratively with supply stakeholders in the spirit of partnership to solve complex problems.
  • Instil a continuous improvement focus in all activities and work with suppliers to drive incremental improvement.
  • Manage and mitigate risks within production and effectively communicate issues as they arise.
  • Comply with, and ensure operatives comply with Health and Safety responsibilities in line with the company Health, Safety & Environmental Policy.
  • Ensure operatives comply with all other policy and legal requirements in relation to role.
  • Assist the Health & Safety Management in producing and implementing Risk Assessments and Procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of various accreditations.


About you:


  • Experience in manufacturing/production management.
  • Experience in management of staff.
  • Ability to follow technical specifications.
  • Commitment to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to complete relevant paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.


  • Degree or equivalent in manufacturing/production/engineering
  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Experience with Chinese/Asian manufacturing


  • Rewarding salary - Our scope for this position is £40,000 to £60,000 dependent on experience
