 The Roles:

 Group Manager, Business Risk & Group Manager, Quality

We are looking to appoint two Group Managers - Business Risk & Quality; both are leadership roles within the Operations Directorate.  Reporting to the Operations Director, you will work in collaboration with senior colleagues across the organisation to achieve the objectives. 

Group Manager, Business Risk

Key accountabilities: 

  • Define and embed appropriate risk management processes into TWI’s operations, helping to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements.
  • Promote greater awareness of risk management at all levels within TWI on an ongoing basis, including educating and coaching colleagues and providing challenge to Senior Management where appropriate.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of TWI’s UK property portfolio to ensure that our facilities are fit for purpose, and suitable for our future business plans.

 Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Education to degree level (with Chartered Status in a relevant Professional Body being an advantage).
  • Significant large-scale project management experience/understanding.
  • Experience of developing strategy and plans for delivering operational services and facilities within a research environment.

 Group Manager, Quality

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Define and embed appropriate quality standards and protocols that enable TWI to build and maintain its reputation for excellence.
  • Develop, implement and maintain TWI’s HSE management systems, ensuring compliance with our statutory obligations and audit requirements.
  • Maintain an appropriate framework to capture and report on customer satisfaction for Single Client Projects (SCPs) and Joint Industry Projects (JIPs).
    Skills and Qualification:  
  • Education to degree level (with Chartered Status in a relevant Professional Body being an advantage).
  • Experience of developing, implementing and maintaining quality management standards and systems.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental management and good all round experience of business process improvement, including evidence of personal impact in this field.
