An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Planning Department to cover maternity leave for an expected period of 9 months. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will be facilitating and expediting the flow of materials from suppliers to our stores, ensuring that all purchase orders are ready for their scheduled delivery or sooner. You will be responsible for the implementation of systems and procedures to cut down the need for direct contact with supplies and provide reports and feedback to the Purchasing Manager.

Facilitate and expedite the flow of materials from supplier to stores. This will involve constantly checking to make sure all purchase orders are ready for their scheduled delivery or sooner, ensuring availability of purchased items in the required time frames.
Responsible for the implementation of a system and procedures that will cut down the need for direct contact with suppliers.
Provide reports and feedback to the Purchasing Manager and maintain the accuracy of delivery information.

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Sufficient experience in a purchasing environment.
- Previous experience in the oil & gas valve industry desirable.
- HNC or equivalent
- Knowledge of MRP 2 system desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages especially Excel including macros essential
