About RheEnergise

RheEnergise is bringing innovation to energy storage with our High-Density Hydro® system. RheEnergise’s new solution uses a high-density fluid instead of water in a pumped energy storage system for grid-scale projects.

RheEnergise’s ambition is to facilitate huge growth in renewable energy power generation and mitigate the worst effects of climate change, globally.

Working for us

At RheEnergise you will work with a diverse and highly talented group of people who share a passion for clean energy and sustainability. Our London office is a bright space in Gospel Oak, next to the greenery of Hampstead Heath.

We are a young company aiming for rapid and dynamic growth in the next 3 years. We seek ambitious, talented people to join our team, who want to grow and learn with us.

The Role

We are looking for a Cost Engineer with experience in large-scale project management and costing to oversee the feasibility, development, design, execution and commissioning of RheEnergise’s future High-Density Hydro pumped storage projects.

This role will have a particular focus on understanding project costs, developing cost estimate targets and recommending cost effective solutions. At times the role will also support the project planning and management of grant-funded engineering projects.

The role is ideally suited to a person with innovative ideas on how to deliver projects at lower costs, faster. The Cost Engineer will report to the CEO and work closely with both the Operations and Engineering Teams to meet targets.

We are seeking a highly motivated person with relevant experience and excellent project management skills who can take on responsibility and line management.

About You

  • Experience in cost monitoring, control and forecasting for large construction projects, such as renewable energy projects

  • Engineering degree (any relevant discipline)

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Able to build project forecasts and track actual costs, contingency, risks and exposure, both for internal and external expenditure against the cost controls structures

  • Experience building relationships with suppliers

Preferred

  • Project management qualification (Prince2, APM, PMI or equivalent)

  • Hydropower industry knowledge and/or experience

  • Passion for green energy and sustainability

  • Willing to travel overseas occasionally for work
