A paid PhD studentship (fees and stipend) with direct industrial impact working with partner Zeiss Microscopy. X-ray Computed Tomography you may know as a CAT scan, but it isn’t just for medical! Industry are frequently using it for quality assurance processes, however scans can take upwards of a few hours. In this applied experimental PhD you will develop processes and establish techniques to significantly reduce this time, motivated with real case studies across energy and aerospace. No previous experience with X-rays required!
