15th June 2019
Open to: Female engineering apprentices aged 18 and above
FREE to attend
Engineering and construction can be challenging environments in which to train and work, and only 3% of apprentices in these fields are female. Thanks to funding from Arconic, the second WES Apprentice Conference will take place on Saturday 15 June 2019, kindly hosted by Make UK at their venue Engineers House in Bristol.
Speakers from Make UK, Engineering Council, Siemens plc and other key professional organisations will be providing a dynamic mix of hands-on, interactive teamwork sessions along with advice on building your career and profile – and we’ll hear from inspirational women engineers who started their careers as apprentices.
- Gain confidence and networking skills by meeting apprentices from other companies and sectors
- Improve your leadership, personal and workplace skills through interactive and hands-on teamwork challenge sessions
- Learn more about the transition from training to full employment and how to develop your career
- Hear directly from and meet face-to-face with inspiring women in engineering roles, especially those who started their careers as apprentices
Lunch and refreshments will be provided. WES can also provide a contribution of up to £50 per apprentice to cover travel expenses.
Want to attend and you are a female engineering apprentice over the age of 18?
Please note: Spaces are limited so we cannot guarantee all applicants will receive a place at this event - so please apply as early as possible!
