How do we predict the weather? How is a motorway built? How can we help people who have been injured?
For one day only, seven teams of engineers from across the country will answer these questions and many more as they showcase their family-friendly interactive engineering exhibits for the WES 100 Violets Challenge.
The participating engineers come from a wide range of engineering disciplines, showcasing how engineering can be a career for everyone and broadening the understanding of what it really means to be ‘an engineer’.
The Brunel Museum, London. The museum is the site of the oldest tunnel under the Thames, later becoming the first Underground tunnel, and tells the fascinating story of the groundbreaking engineering involved in the construction.
The exhibition is suitable for boys and girls of all ages! The museum will be free to enter throughout the day.
Thank you to the Royal Academy of Engineering for supporting the WES 100 Violets Challenge through an Ingenious Award.
