Merseyside INWED20

18th June 2020

Merseyside Cluster Co-ordinators, Elaine and Rosti, will share with you their journeys in energy systems and biomedical engineering respectively. How and what motivated them in choosing these careers and what are their biggest takeaways? They will be touching on topics such as planning public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and using engineering tools to optimise assistive devices to help people with disabilities.

We are delighted to have Kay Woodburn, Founder of Gritty People, on board for this event and she will be sharing 3 key ways to stay resilient in uncertain times.

The programme of the event is:

(5 min) - Introduction to WES, Awards, Opportunities, and INWED20

(20 min) - Meet the Merseyside cluster team - the two coordinators introduce themselves and their work in biomedical engineering and energy systems.

(15-20 min) – Kay Woodburn of Gritty People on "Staying resilient in uncertain times"

(10-15 min) – Q&A and close

The event will take place via zoom.  Please email Elaine and Rosti at merseyside@wes.org.uk to register for the event and obtain zoom meeting login details.
