Shout out to schools about engineering - Sheffield

The Women’s Engineering Society has received some funding to produce a poster and web area sharing the experiences of being a female engineering undergraduate.

 Share your stories with the next generation

We are looking for a mix of British women engineering undergraduate students from across the country to take part in some discussion groups at Sheffield Hallam and Cardiff Universities and UCL.  Register below with the green button.

Selecting the New Type 26 Power And Propulsion System

Sponsored by BAE Systems, this Scottish Women's Network Event is being held at the IET Teacher Building, St Enoch Square, Glasgow.

The talk will be presented by Barbara McIntyre and Gail Gemmel of BAE Systems, both of whom are key members of the team designing the power and propulsion system for the RNs new generation of frigates.

Young Woman Engineer of the Year Awards and WES Prize

Including the presentation of the Women's Engineering Society Prize, this evening awards ceremony at Savoy Place in London is free to attend but registration is necessary as places are limited. A drinks reception and buffet will follow, plus an exhibition from the sponsors with networking and career opportunities and a chance to meet the winners.
