Tymele Deydier

Tymele is currently a Doctoral Researcher in Chemical Engineering at Loughborough University, graduating in 2021. Passionate about health, she works on improving the efficacy of medical treatments by encapsulating drugs into biodegradable polymer microparticles. She also has a Materials Engineering degree from the Université de Toulon (France) and an MSc in Advanced Materials from Cranfield University.

Tymele started to get involved with WES with the Loughborough Student Group, then went on to be the second Chair of the University Groups Board (UGB) and is now a very proud member of the Events Directors’ Committee and coordinator of the “She’s an Engineer” webpage.


Outside of WES, and when she doesn’t work in the laboratory for her PhD, Tymele is a STEM Ambassador, chairs the Loughborough PhD Social & Support Network and volunteers her time with community outreach projects from the Loughborough Students’ Union.
