Since graduating over thirty years ago as an electrical and electronic engineer, Roseni Dearden has worked as a design engineer, project manager, and educator in the commercial, public, cooperative, and not-for-profit sectors. Throughout her career, and through her voluntary commitments, Roseni has pursued an interest in harnessing technology to achieve progressive social outcomes - whether that's strengthening communities and public sector systems, improving environmental sustainability, or promoting gender equality. She is committed to supporting other women in the engineering profession; and is both a board member of the International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists, and a Council member of the Women’s Engineering Society in the UK. She is also a member of the UK Institute for Electrical Engineers, the Centre for Alternative Technology, the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, and the trade union UNITE.
Roseni is a Trustee of WES and Membership Officer.
