Waterloo Bridge in London is sometime known as the Ladies Bridge due to the large numbers of women who helped in its construction. Around 350 women worked on the constuction of the bridge during World War Two, but little is known about them. To highlight and commemorate the contribution they made, WES is campaigning to get a Blue Plaque installed on the bridge.
