Hitachi Information Control Systems Europe (HICSE) consists of approximately 160 employees over three sites. The head office is based in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire, with additional offices in Derby and Plymouth.
Previously known as The Railway Engineering Company (TRE), HICSE is a UK-based provider of software products for railway signalling and operations, including training simulators, modelling tools and automatic route setting systems. We are also the integrator of traffic management systems for the UK and European market, working closely with Hitachi Rail Europe Ltd.
HICSE’s primary motive for joining WES is to help support this fantastic organization in achieving their aims of celebrating the achievements of women in engineering, of enabling women in the UK to take up opportunities in engineering, and perhaps most importantly, of encouraging more girls to consider a career in engineering.
At HICSE, we’re determined to increase the percentage of our engineers who are female – we know how many female engineers have to offer, and we want them to come and work with us! We hope our involvement with WES will help us achieve this goal.
