Every day, over 4,000 Cadent colleagues help to keep the energy flowing for our customers in over 11 million homes and businesses within four of the eight gas distribution networks in the UK… As well as maintaining and repairing gas pipes in our networks, we connect, disconnect and alter gas connections for customers, drive innovation projects to support the future of gas and our role in Net Zero, help renewable energy producers connect, and ensure smooth gas distribution across our networks. When the unexpected happens, we run emergency operations on our network and manage the national gas emergency service on behalf of the gas industry.
We have partnered with WES as we want to collaborate with an organization that inspires women to take a career in Engineering. We are collaborating with WES, and their partners, to help overcome the challenges we face attracting and retaining women into Engineering positions. Beatrice is enthusiastic and has been extremely key in making this a success so far by connecting all of its partners, so we can fully utilize a network of professionals in other organizations. The support received so far has been second to none, and I look forward to the future of this partnership and the impact that it will continue to make.
