Yasmin Ali is a chartered engineer, an energy industry professional, and an active promoter of engineering.
After graduating from the University of Nottingham with Master's degree in Chemical engineering, Yasmin joined E.ON to work in power generation, before moving to oil and gas exploration and production. Her most recent role is managing the control room for E.ON’s district heating business.
Yasmin is an active member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), as well as the 2013 winner of the WES Young Woman Engineer award. She has featured on BBC radio and television, presented at over fifty events, and blogs for the Metro.
