Image removed.Jo says "When WES CEO Dawn Bonfield suggested setting up a YMB I knew it was something I had to be involved in! I believe it’s so important to give younger women in the industry a platform to share their views, as well as providing more relatable role models for younger girls. We have a wonderful group of people on the YMB; we have lots of ideas, and we are raring to go."

Jo Douglas is the Chair of WES YMB. She completed a master’s degree in Chemistry in 2013 at the University of Edinburgh before starting a PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Bath. Her PhD is sponsored by Unilever researching fabric cleaning and laundry detergents. Jo was one of the founding members of WES Bath; the University of Bath Student Women’s Engineering Society. In March 2015 Jo was elected as the Chair of WES Bath, and joined WES council in October 2015. On WES council, Jo acts as the student groups’ liaison, and has taken the lead on forming the YMB. Jo is a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE).
