Estelle Barrois

Estelle has a General Engineering Degree from France. She has been working in the UK since 2006 to complete her degree in an Aerospace Maintenance company. As a manufacturing engineer, she was working with the lean tools such as 6S, waste reduction and workplace reorganisation. Following an interest in design engineering she moved to a different position to write repair procedures for “out of the books” damages in aircraft nacelles.
In 2011 she changed job to work for a small company developing a new concept for a wind turbine under IP working closely with Swansea University for CFD calculations. As a design engineer, she is responsible for the drawings and specifications for the turbine requirements.
As a new mother from July 2012, she is now working part time, enjoying work and spending time with her daughter.
Estelle joined the WES council in January 2011 and very quickly got hooked on the WES ideas and volunteered for the Hon Sec position. She is enjoying this new role very much and learns new things about charity management all the time.
She loves movies, especially Walt Disney and RomComs, she like music and ballet. As an experienced horse rider she enjoys a nice walk in the countryside or along the beach in South Wales.
