Julia King announced as speaker for 'My Sparkling Career'

WES is delighted to announce the key note speaker for 'My Sparkling Career' at the British Science Festival in September: WES member and Aston University Vice Chancellor Professor Dame Julia King will be joined by two early career professional women engineers.

Julia has a distinguished career in both academia and in industry for Rolls Royce. She was Chief Executive at the Institute of Physics where she provided a great boost to the Institute's diversity programme.

Stay after for a light buffet lunch to talk to women engineers and scientists about their jobs and lives

Target audience: sixth formers, college students and other students, male and female, taking science and technology GCSEs and diplomas.

When: 11:30 to 13:00 Saturday 18th September, directly after the WES AGM
