Inspiring Women Campaign

Calling all engineers to join the Inspiring Women Campaign

The national Inspiring Women campaign launched October 2013 and already has 20,000 amazing women ready to talk with girls in state schools about the ‘job they do’ and route they took. Our ambition is to see these women from a wide range of occupations going into state schools collectively talking to 500,000 young women. We already have 20,000 women so let’s make it 30,000 by 2017.

You can be an 18 year old Apprentice or a CEO, work for yourself or for a multi-national, be working full-time, part-time or having a career break – girls in state schools want to hear about your job, career and life experiences.

Pledge one hour a year to change young lives by volunteering to talk with girls in school. Register here in 2 minutes: http://www.inspiringthefuture.org/ Your local schools and colleges can see your profile, then email to invite you to talk with their students.

Inspiring Women is looking for female engineers and scientists to take part in a ‘career speed networking’ event in June with 100 girls which we are doing in partnership with Transport for London.

This is part of the legacy of Transport for London’s ‘100 years of Women in Transport’.
