Grazyna Whapshott MSc, PGCE, MIET, CEng, FRSA
Grazyna Whapshott obtained an MSc in Electronic Engineering from Warsaw University of Science and Technology (Poland). After initial appointments as a research assistant at the University and a lecturer in the Military Academy of Science she switched to research in medical techniques. Her work in the Research and Development Centre of Medical Techniques covered the area of nerve and muscle stimulations.
Grazyna become a British citizen when she married her British husband and since moving to England she has been employed in Further and Higher education. Grazyna is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Greenwich and she is the first and only women engineer in the School of Engineering. Since her arrival in England she obtained a PGCE English qualification and an MSc in Digital Systems from the University of Westminster and became a Chartered Engineer. In order to enhance her teaching portfolio, Grazyna submitted recently her final project for an MSc degree in Information and Computer Systems. Grazyna has been a WES member since 1991.
Grazyna takes responsibility for coordinating our international links, and chairs the subcommittee which administers the ICWES UK bursary funds.
