Engaging Girls at the Big Bang Fair

WES produced some guidance for exhibitors at The Big Bang Fair 2013 in association with WISE, sponsored by Atkins and Siemens.

The guidance helps exhibitors interact with girls more effectively at fairs and exhibitions. These common sense, accessible guidelines are intended as a reminder of what to do and what not to do to obtain the most positive interaction with female visitors to convey positive messages about STEM careers. Download the guidance - called Positive Connections - below.

In addition to this specific guidance for shows and exhibitions,  wider advice has been compiled for companies in general who wish to increase the gender diversity of their workforce. This guidance includes advice on some of the background statistics, how to get your marketing materials right to attract women, what to do before, during and after a show, fair or exhibition, and what can be done in a wider context to support your women engineers.

The draft version of this brochure - Laws of Attraction - can be downloaded at the bottom of this page, and comments and feedback about this document and the advice it gives are welcome. Email WES CEO at ceo@wes.org.uk
