Terms of Bequest

The Doris Gray awards began in April 2006 when Professor Doris Gray left £100,000 to the Women’s Engineering Society to encourage women in Scotland to become professional engineers.

The award is divided into three sections:

The awards are now in their sixth year and to date scholarships of £21,000, enabling grants of over £21,000, and bursaries of £18,000 for the Doris Gray conference and WES conference attendance have been awarded.

Please note that the awards are only available for women studying in Scotland or for events being run in Scotland.
