The Doris Gray Awards are now closed

Terms of Bequest

The Doris Gray awards began in April 2006 when Professor Doris Gray left £100,000 to the Women’s Engineering Society to encourage women in Scotland to become professional engineers.

The award was divided into three sections:

The awards were available for 10 years and are now closed.

In total scholarships of £37,221, enabling grants of £41,064 and bursaries of £25,939 for the Doris Gray conference and conference attendance were awarded.

The awards were only available for women studying in Scotland or for events being run in Scotland.
