I studied Civil Engineering at Oxford Brookes University as a mature student graduating in 2002. I was previously a Pharmacy Technician and an opportunity arose where I could take up full time higher education. I decided on Civil Engineering as it combined my interest in buildings and mathematics and could offer an exciting career.

Since graduating I have been working for The Cox Clifford Partnership as a Structural Engineer working on a wide range of projects from the new Wembley Stadium to smaller domestic developments.

In 2004 I was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce and I am currently studying for a Masters degree in Engineering with The Open University.

My outside interests include running, skiing and jewellery making.
